LOVE IS NOT CANCELLED

While the world opens up, we are all learning to live with COVID-19. Nina Lily Photography is committed to the safety of our team, clients and all of our families and loved ones.

We are grateful for your support and understanding. Thank you for choosing to reschedule rather than cancel your wedding documentation with Nina Lily Photography. Your patronage of our small business has kept us going. On behalf of myself, my family and the Nina Lily Collective, Thank You!

2020 has been challenging and your flexibility, sacrifice and love for each other are noted and appreciated. We see you and can’t wait to celebrate with you soon!

We have been following CDC, state and local guidelines closely and are looking forward to documenting your memories in a safe and sustainable way. We trust that you will work with us to foster a respectful work environment, keeping in mind that personal situations are different and that the dangers of COVID-19 are present despite reopening plans. To put some of the reopening dangers in perspective, here is an article via NPR. We suggest that you note section 5 in the article addressing the risk of hosting a celebration with more than 10 people in attendance

In Pennsylvania, the difference between reopening phases allows for a large jump in gathering sizes from 10 people to 25 people to 250 people in green phase (depending on fire codes). Without clear working guidelines for wedding vendors, we are being asked to proceed with cautious optimism and to trust that the strangers in our workplace will adhere to social distancing measures while socializing at events where food and beverages are involved.

We will likely not know the true ramifications of green phase gatherings of these sizes for several weeks. Since policy for weddings has been slow in coming from the local government, Nina Lily Photography has put our own policy in place to avoid any undue consequences while working with the public.

General Policy

*Our Policy is subject to change and may be re-evaluated on a case by case basis.

While we know that our new regulations may be overwhelming, we trust that you understand that the safety of all of our loved ones is of utmost importance. Your continued patronage is so appreciated and we look forward to documenting your story in new ways!

  1. Nina Lily Photography will follow all current CDC safety guidelines, as well as State and local mandates for the duration of COVID-19 crisis. - In the event that current recommendations leave an NLP team member feeling unprotected, additional measures may be taken to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

  2. It is the Clients’ responsibility to inform Nina Lily Photography should They or any of their Wedding Party (including family members and other VIPs) be experiencing any symptoms associated with COVID-19. - We will offer the same courtesy should our team become compromised.

  3. NLP photography will be contactless. - This means no high fives, elbow bumps, handshakes or hugs. We will no longer be fixing your hair, arranging your gown, holding your bouquet or touching any personal items. We will also ask that you refrain from touching any of our personal belongings. *For additional guidelines, see “Getting Ready”.

  4. NLP team members will be wearing masks for the duration of our time together. - This means that you can expect a bit more verbal direction than normal since we will not be sharing facial cues. Please work with us regarding any auditory issues. Due to the added stress of working in a mask, NLP team members will take periodic breaks as per suggested PA guidelines. Thirty minute breaks are required for those working more than 6 consecutive hours. We will be splitting this up throughout the day to provide some relief. This will be in addition to the agreed upon meal break.

  5. NLP team members will be following social distancing measures. - Please do not approach us while we are working. We will be maintaining the appropriate distance of 6-10 feet away from you and your guests at all times. Exceptions may be made in the event that you and/or your guests have chosen to wear masks.

  6. NLP team members will not share transportation with Clients or guests. - It is the Clients responsibility to secure their own transportation and to allow for appropriate time in the wedding day schedule for all parties to maintain safe travel, including parking multiple vehicles.

  7. Venue layouts will be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine specific photography safety plans. As per current guidelines, outdoor venue options should be utilized over indoor options for the duration of the COVID-19 crisis.

  8. NLP team members will not compromise their personal health and safety. - If during the Event, NLP team members believe that they are being exposed to violations of State mandates and CDC guidelines in regards to the current COVID-19 crisis, then NLP reserves the right to immediately protect the studio's interests as per Contract.

  9. Inclement Weather DOES NOT NEGATE POLICY.

Getting Ready Protocol

  1. Preparation documentation will begin following all hair and make-up appointments.

  2. Detail photography should remain contactless and must be done outdoors whenever possible. It is the responsibility of the Client to make arrangements for important details to be handled by someone other than an NLP team member, unless specific agreements are made with your photographer in advance.

  3. Getting Ready moments, such as dressing, will be limited to the Client and one [1] helper unless arrangements are made by the Client to dress outside.

Portrait Protocol

  1. All portraits will be taken at outdoor locations agreed upon in advance by the Clients and NLP. Indoor locations will not be utilized for portraits at this time. In the event of extreme weather, the lead photographer will evaluate the situation on a case by case basis.

  2. While we focus on creating an organic experience for you and your loved ones, this may not be entirely possible with the limitations of social distance and facial cues. Please anticipate more verbal direction than normal. We will continue to wear our masks throughout your Alone session and while working with your Wedding Party.

  3. During Family Formals, we ask that you address our social distance protocols with your family in advance to negate any awkward interactions on your wedding day. As always, we require a family formal list in advance to expedite the process. We kindly request that guests wear masks if possible when in close proximity to our team while they are waiting to be photographed.

Reception Protocol

For indoor events, Nina Lily team members will make reasonable efforts to practice social distancing measures throughout the duration of our contracted time together.

  1. Reception room details will only be done prior to guests entering the room. Arrangements should be made with the Venue and other Vendors prior to the event for our team to have access to the room either before the ceremony or during cocktail hour. We request 20 minutes alone in the room to photograph your details.

  2. Cocktail Hour coverage and Table Shots of guests will no longer be offered.

  3. NLP team members will make appropriate choices during the reception to remain socially distant to Clients, guests, vendors and venue staff at all times. If you do not see our team, it may be because they are utilizing measures to keep themselves safe, such as, but not limited to, the use of telephoto lenses or photographing from an alternative perspective.

  4. Candid coverage of spontaneous dancing will be modified to maintain safety protocols. In the event that an indoor venue cannot afford appropriate social distancing measures, dance party coverage will not be offered.

  5. Dependent on which happens first, reception coverage will end at the beginning of dinner service or at the end of the following reception formalities: introductions, first dance, toasts and parent dances. We cannot guarantee cake cutting coverage.
