Cristyn + Matt | Prallsville Mills Wedding Celebration
“There are so many small decisions that need to be made on the wedding day that it can feel a bit overwhelming. It’s so tempting to just decide to do what you’ve seen your friend do in the past, for example. But when we reframe this and think about these decisions as opportunities for alignment and ease, it gives you the power to create a wedding day that’s going to feel like you, and that’s going to fill your cup and more.” - Jillian
And that’s exactly what Cristyn and Matt did for their wedding day at The Prallsville Mills in New Jersey. The event was a perfect reflection of who they were as a couple—authentic, natural, and far from traditional. The day was filled with meaningful, unpretentious moments that captured the essence of their relationship, set against a romantic, rustic backdrop of eucalyptus green, white, and wood tones.
Cristyn had lovingly crafted her own DIY Sola Wood Flower Bouquet, adding a personal touch to the already beautiful tapestry of the day. As their closest friends and family gathered, the atmosphere was one of celebration, not just of their love, but of the journey that had brought them to this moment.
The morning of the wedding was filled with anticipation and joy as Cristyn and Matt got ready in rooms just around the corner from each other. This setup allowed their friends and family to mingle and share in the excitement, while also giving the couple the chance to prepare for their big day in close proximity. The adorable anticipation built as they kept their first look private, choosing to share this intimate moment down by the river. In a unique and touching twist, they decided to exchange private vows before the ceremony in front of their wedding party and parents—a moment that was both personal and special for everyone involved.
The rest of the day flowed comfortably, with ample time for photos and moments away from the camera, allowing Cristyn and Matt to truly enjoy the day with each other and their favorite people. After enjoying freshly made brick oven pizza from Common Good Pizza, and sweet treats from the Lil Pop Shop Ice Cream Truck, the couple danced the night away to the music of Limelight Entertainment.
It was a beautiful day, filled with love, laughter, and a sense of ease. Every detail was a true reflection of Cristyn and Matt, creating a wedding that was not only relaxed and focused on what truly mattered but also one that filled their hearts and the hearts of everyone who celebrated with them.
