Jessie + Kevin | John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove Wedding

From the beginning, one of the things that I've loved about Jessie and Kevin is their devotion to each other. From our first conversations, their engagement session, Kevin's sister's wedding last fall and now witnessing and documenting their own marriage this summer, Jessie and Kevin have a care and spark between the two of them that is palpable. I adore the way that they look at each other. It is the same when they are together, across the room or think no one is looking. I just feel like I'm in the presence of soul mates!

Jessie and Kevin first met during spring break in Punta Cana and immediately began dating during their junior years of college. Their instant connection lasted through college and med school and as they worked towards career goals, they decided that they wanted a future together. Jessie is the planner, while Kevin is more spontaneous. I still can't believe that they planned such an amazing event while in their fourth years of med school. In fact, both Jessie and Kevin became doctors just days before saying, "I Do!"

They chose the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove to say their vows and Jeffrey Miller Catering to host their celebration. The easy going, semi-formal event was filled with joy and laughter. Jessie's smile literally lights up the room; it's the best! Jessie and Kevin have an amazing family and support network and it was really an honor to witness. The ceremony especially was a testament to shared values and love. The couple was married under a beautiful arbor hand crafted by their uncle. The officiant, who has become a family friend, was the head chaplain at Kevin's high school, Episcopal Academy. Family was also celebrated during the ceremony. Both Jessie and Kevin's mothers gave beautiful readings for the couple and Kevin's sister served as Eucharistic Minister.

My personal favorite part of the day was Jessie and Kevin's alone session. Reminiscent of their engagement session, which can be seen HERE, Jessie and Kevin devoted almost an hour to creating time for each other on their wedding day. After a super sweet first look, we explored the grounds and just allowed Jessie and Kevin to enjoy the last few moments of being engaged before they walked down the aisle. It was a joy to document and my hope is that they and future generations will look back that the imagery and remember the larger picture of this amazing time in their lives, of being young and in love and of the shear joy and admiration this couple has for one another. I am so happy for them!
